Arbor Brewing Company Magrath Road- A delight for beer connoisseurs

Arbor Brewing Company at Magrath road is a great place to have some amazing beer.  ABC India was started by Gaurav Sikka who studied at the University of Michigan and frequently visited ABC Brewpub in Ann Arbor, United States. ABC India is a great place for people who love beer. The ambience is great and is similar to craft beer pubs in the United States.

I have tried a few varieties of beer at Arbor Brewing Company Bangalore. My favorite one is Phat Abbot Belgian Tripel. I have heard of the Trappist monks and their brewing methods. I haven't yet got a chance to taste the original trappist beer. However i liked Phat Abbot Belgian Tripel at ABC Bangalore enormously. This beer is usually avaiable at ABC India in the period March to June.

The arbor brewing company has a great website (http://www.arborbrewing.com/) that lists each one of their beers. There are also good nuggets of information pertaining to beer. Overall I liked the ambience and service of ABC Bangalore. On the price front, the pub is on an expensive side. It costs about Rs.300 for a full pint (500 ml). Make sure you reserve your table on weekends before 3-4 pm.

Here is the full address of the brewery:

Beer

Beer is one of the most popular drinks in the world. I have been a beer enthusiast myself for over a decade now. I reside in Bangalore, but have traveled to many countries around the world. I have had the opportunity to taste a variety of brands. I like drinking beer in moderation.

Beer brewing is an art perfected by man over the last few centuries. The most common content of beer is barley. Some types of beer are brewed with wheat and other grains. Hops are added to most varieties of bottled beers which acts as a natural preservative.

I began tasting beer in school and have since tasted several varieties. Bangalore being the beer capital of India boasts of several micro-breweries. The infamous United Breweries is also based in Bangalore. I will focus writing on finer aspects of beer tasting/drinking, brands of beer and more. I will also write about companies and people who play a prominent role in the beer scene in Bangalore. I also have interest in other alcoholic beverages like scotch, vodka etc. Occasionally, I plan to write on these beverages as well.

For the beer lovers of Bangalore, this blog will provide useful information.
